Tom Eliason

Tom started training professionally before he finished high school and campaigned throughout the 1960’s and 70’s.

This picture (at right) was taken in 1972 after Tom won the All Around at the Chamberlain Horse Show on AQHA Champion Mr. Hepcat. Under Tom's direction this horse won consistently in reining, pleasure, calf and team roping. He was owned by State Farm Insurance agent John Morasko of Glendive, MT

Beth and Sandy's Wood Foremost among the many champions Tom trained was Mr. Flintrock, (pictured at left) 1977 AQHA World Champion Heeling Horse. He also had a Top Ten year-end award in working cow horse and calf roping.

Tom trained for many of the leading Quarter Horse operations in the mid-west, including the Pitzer Ranch. He showed Two Eyed Jack in his first reining class (and won it).

Today, the business is getting pretty much turned over to Robert, Beth and Blake Eliason. But that's not to say Tom has really retired. Here he is at the 1999 Foundation Quarter Horse Show reining Wily Rox, by Wilywood, out of a Flintrock mare.

This 1994 stallion topped our 2000 sale at $24,900. Competitive in calf roping, reining, pleasure, heading, healing, & halter, he is now owned by the Fritz Ranch of Niobrara, NE.
Since the sale, Wily Rox has earned R.O.M. AQHA team and calf roping points.

Tom has been the State Farm Insurance agent in Gregory, SD for the past 26 years.
